CODA
Automotive, a leading developer
of all-electric vehicles, today named
electric service and repair company Mr.
Electric as its preferred provider of
electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE)
installation services. With nearly 20 years of
experience in electrical installation and
repair services throughout the U.S. and Canada,
Mr. Electric intends to offer complete
consultation and installation services of
electric vehicle charging stations for CODA
Automotive customers. The relationship is the
latest progression in the EV company’s ample
service infrastructure network.
“As the
installation of a home charging station is an
integral part of the EV adoption process, we
want to ensure our customers have a reliable
and knowledgeable single contact to make
installation a seamless experience,”
said Thomas Hausch, senior vice president of
sales, marketing, and aftersales. “We
selected Mr. Electric as our preferred
installation partner based on their vast
experience in EVSE installations. We look
forward to working closely with Mr. Electric
and our dealer network to make the process of
going electric a reality for CODA
drivers.”
CODA
Automotive customers will work with their
dealer to set up a home assessment appointment
through Mr. Electric. After the consultation,
Mr. Electric can help handle all necessary
permits and conduct the installation of the
EVSE.
“As more
people grab for the EV charger – and not the
gas pump – home charging becomes an important
part of their daily lives,” said Jeff Meyers,
president of Mr. Electric. “We are thrilled
to work with CODA Automotive, its dealers and
customers to bring EV charging to garages
throughout California and beyond.”
This latest
relationship builds on the alliance CODA
Automotive has forged with GE Energy’s
Industrial Solutions business. CODA
Automotive identified the GE WattStation(i)
Wall Mount as its EV charging station of
choice. The WattStation Wall Mount is a fast,
easy-to-use Level 2 EV charger that can charge
a vehicle in as little as four to eight hours
compared to standard overnight
charging.
Available at
CODA showrooms across California, the 2012 CODA
is the first all-electric five-passenger,
compact sedan with full rear seating and trunk
space that provides a range of up to 125 miles.
