As electric drive technologies enter the marketplace, consumers turn to trusted media outlets for news and information. The EDTA Media Teleconference briefings began in 2010 with the goal of educating the media on specific aspects of electric drive, emphasizing benefits and clarifying misconceptions. By ensuring that reporters are well informed, we are able to more effectively educate consumers.Educational Materials
Commercial scale adoption of electric drive technologies will require consumer education, as well as formal training for the next generation of engineers who will be designing tomorrow’s innovations. Credible information about the value, benefits, safety and requirements of electric drive is crucial and must be widely available to consumers, businesses and state and local policymakers.
