DBT partners with electric car-sharing program in Paris

MonAutopartage, an electric car-sharing program operated by MOPEasy, was launched in Paris December, 2011. As a competitor to France’s AutoLib’, MonAutopartage is planning to expand into Paris’s surrounding cities, including the City of Neuilly sur Seine.

Currently, 5 electric vehicle charging stations are available for use. Some of the goals that MonAutopartage is aimed at simplifying of the charging experience while also lowering costs for all parties involved.

DBT, Europe’s leading electric vehicle charging station manufacturer, teamed up with Sodetrel (subsidiary of the French utility EDF) to provide the charging infrastructure for the project. DBT’s HRC model, which is being used in the project, is designed for urban integration, is network connected, and provides an easy to use charging experience, is being used for the project. Projects like this are an important part of DBT’s initiative to remain at the forefront of the EV charging solutions. With more than 20 years of experience in the EV market, DBT’s expertise makes them a sought after partner for EV projects around the world.

MOPEasy was inaugurated on December, 14th 2011 with Hervé Borgoltz (DBT CEO), Jean-Christophe Fromantin (Mayor of Neuilly), Michel Couture (Sodetrel CEO) and Bruno Flinois (MOPEasy CEO) in attendance. According to Jean-Christophe Fromantin, “MOPEasy will give project stakeholders a better picture of user behavior for future projects, while providing us something to compare to the Autolib system. It will give us the ability to choose the best solution to supply major worldwide cities.”
