Donald Trump has frequently lampooned the billions of dollars in federal funds set aside to build electric vehicle chargers across America. But he might not be able to touch that money.
The bipartisan infrastructure law, signed three years ago Friday, allocated $7.5 billion in grant funding for EV chargers. Build-out has been slow, with just a few dozen chargers brought online since.
